Noretyl AS owns and operates the Ethylene plant (cracker) at Rafnes. The Ethylene plant started up in 1977.

Main products are ethylene and propylene, which mainly are used as feedstock for the derivative plants in Bamble, but also being exported.  Noretyl is owned by Ineos. The company has approx. 165 permanent employees split into operations- and maintenance personnel together with staff and support functions.
